Arrrrr it was Good!
The Pirate's Ball on October 22, 2011 was a Super Success! Our thanks to Dot for getting so angry at the AYC Board's decision to scrap the commodore's ball this year, because Dorothy's disgust with the "manly" decision to forgo the dancing was what prompted her to create the Pirate's Ball! Dot and her all-female crew even made commodore Hal walk the plank for allowing the annual dinner-dance gathering to be axed in the first place!
Dot, however, called her crew and put them to work on creating this really fun event! We had a really great time, so thanks Dot, Jenn, Debbi, and Kat for putting together such a lively event! We'll be laughing and singing those sea chanteys for a long time, and dancing to Waltz Across Texas now replaces the Tennessee Waltz as a favorite for stirring my risotto!
